To date, we have 9 nephews, 2 nieces and 2 more due in November. That makes for a lot of birthday and Christmas gifts. We love showering our nieces and nephews with gifts we’ve put a lot of thought into.
In my Making Money by Saving Money project, I’m going to attempt to make some gifts. I would like to set a goal to make ALL of them for an entire year, but I have 9 nephews ranging in age from 13 to baby and boys aren’t easy to come up with homemade gifts for. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to come up with clever gifts by the time their birthdays roll around. In the meantime, I’ll just take it one birthday at a time.
The first birthday I have to worry about is Felicity’s Big ONE! Its easy to make gifts for a one year old baby – especially when it’s your own. I could give her an empty bottle and she’d think it was the best day of her life. The trick with her birthday is going to be coming up with things her big sisters can make or at least help make. Although, now that I think about it, it might not be so tricky. Last Christmas, Bernadette wrapped up random toys for each member of the family. 
After the easy ONE, I’ll have a 5 year old boy and 1 year old girl and my own 5 year old girl all in October. Any suggestions?
